Nov 21, 2011 Hi, I´ve aqquired a used Alesis IO 14. My PC is running on Windows 7 64bit (I have a Qual-Core 3.2gHz with 12Gb RAM). Before I bought this Alesis unit, I´ve checked to see if the official site had drivers for 64bit, and it did, so I never thought it would be a problem. Offers performance and installation fixes Updated by Alesis Alesis iO|14 & iO|26 Windows Driver/Application Pack v3.1.80.1210; Firmware v1.6 It is highly recommended to always use the most recent driver version available. Try to set a system restore point before installing a device driver.
The iO-14 from Alesis is a multi-channel 24-bit/192khz, FireWire audio/MIDI interface with high definition microphone preamps. The fourteen inputs are comprised of four analog microphone/instrument preamps, eight channels of ADAT digital audio and two channels of S/PDIF. The microphone preamps provide 48V phantom power, switchable in pairs and each channel has a insert for external processing prior to the A/D converters. Two switchable high impedance inputs allow for direct guitar and bass recording. LED meters on all four channels and the output provide visual feedback of signal status.
